Announcing Payments in CrowdSync

March 12, 2018

Today, we’re releasing payments in CrowdSync workflows! If you need to collect money from someone as part of a workflow, you can now do that with our new Payments action.

Overview of CrowdSync Payments

Many times, when you’re putting people through a process, you’ll need to collect a payment from them at some point. A few examples:

  • Class registration
  • Event registration
  • Member dues
  • Product or service sales

Now, you can automatically request a payment from someone as part of a CrowdSync workflow, and it’s as easy as simply adding a payments action.

Setting up Payments in a Workflow

To request a payment from someone in a workflow, simply add the new payments action (an inbound step):

add payment

Currently, payments are facilitated through Stripe, so you’ll need to create a Stripe account if you don’t already have one, in order to start receiving money. In the future, we’ll be adding support for Paypal and other providers.

What People Will See

Once you’ve added payments to your workflow, anyone who gets to that step in your workflow will be directed to screen that looks like this:

As soon as they submit the payment, it’ll be directly sent to your account! Money, baby!
